team outing

It is Thursday again. The team had this weekly meeting to complete several documents. As always, dinner is free. We dined in a Japanese restaurant. During dinner, the idea of having another team outing was brought up. Somebody suggested Indonesia. ‘Coz one team mate has a house there and is willing to let us stay there. Lodging will be free.

Then I thought to myself. Hmm, if it’s out of the country, I’d like hubby and Mikee to come with me. And if this is going to happen before the next payday, I better look for cash advance. I heard this is really fast. As in they deposit the money to your account overnight.

But then again, maybe I won’t just join the team outing. Why? Simply because we haven’t renewed our passports yet. Hehe.

fast cash

Shopping can be very refreshing. Just hopping from one store to another with another purchase to add to your loot gives that adrenaline rush. Especially during season-end sales which usually falls few days before your scheduled payday. You’ve been wanting to buy that dress and now you see that it’s marked down half of its original price. But you know that if you wait any longer, somebody else might just buy it before you.

Good to know that there are payday loans. You can have the money fast. Now you can shop even before your payday, and never miss a great buy.

awards for the MBAPs

Thanks Vannie for this award.

I’m awarding these to the MBAPs. Mwah!

my IT life

In any IT company, new employees coming in thin tends to gain weight just after a month. Although there’s still a handful of people with really high metabolism who doesn’t.

I have a theory about this foodtrip-loving job.

IT person tends to sit a lot, sometimes even so still while thinking so hard. All the stored energy is spent on thinking while body is actually at rest. So even if the body hasn’t sweat, the IT person have used the energy and then gets hungry. And so he eats. Being in IT, everything needs to be fast, right–here-right-now concept. He orders from a fastfood chain (likely to be pizza haha) and then eats as fast as he can so he could go back to that pending work asap. Sheeesh. Hence, the weight gain.

Sounds logical huh? And yes, very familiar. I better read that Leptovox review soon. My sister’s wedding is fast approaching. I better fit in my gown. :)

oops, it shows

I sometimes wonder how other people can be very ignorant. Especially the ones who act as if (or pretend) they are masters of what they do.

In our company, we use this chat program everyday. I don’t know how this other person (whom I’ve previously sent my message to) thought he could pretend not to read my message. If you are observant enough, you can see that the other person on the chat can see if the chat has been read, ignored or closed.

Tsk. Tsk. Are you sure you’re fit to do the job when simple things can pass your (as you claimed) keen eye? Did you really finished an online degree like you claimed to? Wait, are you really an IT person? ‘Coz you might have just claimed that too.

Yesterday, I:

  • was awaken by my little girl. she was smiling at me when I opened my eyes. :)
  • had a good bonding time with my daughter.
  • was not that busy at work. (I was already waiting at the lobby when hubby fetched me. on most days, he had to wait for me for 5-10 minutes.)
  • filed my overtime work rendered these past few days.
  • blogged and bloghopped.
  • forgot to eat lunch. (but that’s ok, aside from dinner, i ate cake, ice cream, barbeque and fresh lumpia at a friend’s late night birthday celebration, yikes!)

Tagging Mich, Aggie, Apols and Alpha.

great Monday

Wow look at the time, it’s almost 6pm! I’ll be waiting for hubby to come over and fetch me. (He’ll leave his office at 6pm too.) This day is so good! I’m so happy! There were no major issues at work. I have finished doing some pending work. I was able to submit the list of extra time rendered (read: OT/extra money hehehe) and at the same time, I have blogged today.

What a great Monday! :)

I guess it’s a good time to discuss with hubby about this online college degree that I want to enrol too. Who knows? I could get lucky.

hubby’s upcoming birthday

Hubby’s birthday is fast approaching. I’m still thinking of a nice gift for him. If only we both have the luxury of time, I’ll opt to have a week-long vacation with him. A romantic getaway with the husband. But since we are both busy, I might just spend the day with him, give him a nice massage while wearing a nice Shirley of Hollywood lingerie. Hahaha. Don’t underestimate the power of a lingerie. ;)

But seriously, we might have another get-together dinner at home. And knowing hubby, he’d be happy to have his relatives (especially his cousins) and friends to come over and get drunk! So now, my problem again, like with the other parties at home, is what to include in the menu. Oh well, I still have 4 weeks to think about it. :)

reality bites

Can you believe the price of gas these days? It is so high that even one millionaire preferred to ride the public trains instead of riding his Mercedes Benz. According to him, as reported in the local news, it is no longer practical for him to bring a car to the company.

As expected, this has affected prices of other necessities. Every bit of food is vital. No more leftovers in the kitchen sinks. Everyone is expected to “tighten the belt”. But how about the people who have tightened the belt that there’s no more room for more tightening?

As the poor rants, “the rich becomes richer, the poor becomes poorer.” They have lost trust in the government. No wonder a lot of parents condition their kids to work abroad after graduation to help augment the family budget, and as they say, save them from poverty.

And to these people, who never mind the risks of living outside of their comfort zone, for the best interest of their loved ones, Cheers to you!

feeling positive

I have a feeling that I’d be happier with my work this week as compared to last week. Today is a good start. Hopefully next week, everything will be perfect and I’d be having my rest days like I used to.

Plus, Mikee is getting better now. In fact, if she’s not taking prescribed meds, she’s back to normal.

Ok now, back to work. ;)
