Fashionable Qs

After 10 thousand years, Vannie has finally used her domain  and I grabbed this from her. I hope you don’t mind, Van. ;)

01. What would you wear on a regular day at home?

shorts and a shirt (sleeveless when it’s hot)

02. What would you wear while going out with friends?

shorts and a shirt

03. Do you have any fashion role models?

Hmm, I like Mischa Barton’s casual style (based on paparazzi shots).

04. Does anyone influence your personal style?

Style? Let’s see, motherhood had a GREAT impact on how I dress.

05. Are there any colors that you don’t look too appealing on you?

Geez, same with Vannie, neons and oranges. Peach hates me. ;)

06. What colors do look appealing on you?

Some white, yellow, pink and beige looks good on me. I said some ‘coz sometimes white or yellow doesn’t look good on me.

07. What are some of your favorite clothing items?

a black shirt paired with shorts

08. Do you go for style, comfort or a smart mixture of both?

comfort. it used to be style. motherhood changed me.

09. Does the brand of the clothing item influence your decision on it’s purchase?

no.

10. Does the price matter while shopping?

yes.

11. How much money do you spend on an average day of shopping?

depends on my spending capacity on that day. ;)

12. What were the last few purchases you made?

I bought a pair of shoes yesterday.

13. What are some of your favorite clothing stores?

Plains and Prints (blouses or dresses), Marks and Spencer (shirts). I check Zara, Mango and Topshop only when they are on sale. :P and of course the tiangges.

14. What is the maximum price you’d pay for a shirt?

900. It should have a good fit or else, I’m not buying.

15. Would you rather shop at stores around your town, or chain stores at the mall?

Hmm, I visit a subcontractor of Her Bench and Kamiseta, and buy some of the rejects at a much lower price. I’d rather shop a chain store item from some place else rather than the mall. ;)

16. How often do you buy new clothes?

So rare!!! I think quarterly only.

17. Are you one of those people that have a closet full of clothes but never wear any of it and keep buying more?

No. Geez, I don’t know. I always feel I have so few clothes and yet the closet is full. Tsk, tsk.

18. How many pairs of shoes do you have?

Just a few. Not a shoe person.

19. Would you ever pursue a career in fashion?

Nope. Not my thing.

20. Have you have ever designed, or modified your own clothes?

Hmm, well yes ‘coz I have asked someone else to make me a dress that I had in mind. Pasadya.

My dream business

Aside from my day job, I am thinking of venturing into an online business. I am so inspired by the creative ladies selling over at Etsy. No, my plan is not to sell but to find sellers like them. So my plan is to create an integrated site of a forum, gallery and shop. Very much like scrapbooking sites that I see. I am quite familiar with the web applications for the forum and gallery. The shop part, I have yet to learn.

Why, I don’t even have a clue on microsoft crm server setup. But I’d like to use that system to help my sellers target their customers with on-going promotions and gimmicks. Or I can simply send bulk email messages to promote the site. It will deliver a fast, flexible, and affordable solution to my business needs. I just hope it’s not as complex as it seems.

Also, I need to find a reliable microsoft dynamics crm hosting. I heard that hosted microsoft dynamics crm service costs less in the long run, and higher reliability. Two factors that are very important for me if I’ll set up the business. To achieve success, just need to make sure that the customer is happy and would want to come back for more.

the ghost

Yesterday, I was asked to do a simple task on EMEA shift. Since I’ve worked on ASIA shift for the day, I informed the client I will just go back online when I go back from a party we needed to attend to. So I decided to leave my YM on.

The help cleaned up the room while we were away. With her employment rate, she knows her duties even without us telling her. She called on the yaya to accompany her inside the room because she kept hearing someone calling her “Pst! Pst!” She was so sure that there’s a ghost in our room.

I laughed when they told me. I told them it’s the sound of my YM makes whenever someone is logging on or off.

mind buggle

There’s so much going on my mind that I don’t know what to blog. All I know is that my mind is full with:

- work, work and work (no kidding)
- DSLR and how I can possibly buy it before my sister’s wedding this December (budget-wise)
- scrapping and photobooks
- and one thing else that I still can’t blog yet.

That’s all. Just needed to blog about those so I can clear my mind before hitting the sack. ;)

Tagaytay with the team

Last Thursday, our team went to Canyon Woods, Tagaytay (again) for our annual team planning. We ate brunch at Josephine’s (again), dinner at Le Boutique (again) and breakfast at Bag of Beans (again). I kept saying again, because they were the same places we went to last year for our team planning. Not that I am complaining. It’s just worth mentioning. It seems that the team is showing some loyal traits. Or was it because everyone is afraid of change? Kidding. :P

This year, the November and December birthday celebrators were not “encouraged” to treat the team. This saved me much money intended for Victorinox swiss army watches, toys and cameras I want for Christmas. Who am I kidding? I am not buying those. I am just a cheapskate. That’s all. ;)

detached

Tomorrow, our team will go to Canyon Woods. Yup, the same place where we held our team planning last year. At least, we know how to get there and we’re familiar with the houses and the modern furniture inside. I’m not sure if I really want to go. I will miss husband and Mikee for sure. But it is mandatory and I need to socialize more with my teammates. Someone always complains, er, uhm, comments that I am so “detached” to the team.

No further comment. ;)

itchy palms

I don’t usually believe in superstitions but whenever my palms itch, I know I am about to receive some money, one way or another. I ignore it whenever payday is nearing. I know, I know. Some will argue that they are just coincidences.

Like the other day, my palms itched. I was quite happy thinking of it because it’s still two weeks before payday. But then that morning, I received a text message asking if I want to avail of a payday loan. I ignored the message. There was no more follow-up message for the rest of the day.

My palms itched again the following day. And guess what? The same guy sent me another message this time, with an offer to avail of their debt relief programs. He sent me more than five messages explaining everything. I honestly think he could have saved more if he had called me instead.

I told him I don’t need it just yet, and to contact me next year when our daughter starts attending formal school. I did not receive any more message from him since. ;)
