sour graping

There was a commotion this morning over at Twitter. Yen sold some of her hardly (and never been) used bags, shoes and necklaces. I fell in love with two items that she’s selling. But I was holding off because I want to stick to my budget.

But the Coach bag was too tempting. (I prefer Coach over LV because it fits my lifestyle more.) The bag was being offered at a good price. So I whipped out my calculator and started computing and “adjusting” and yes it’s possible. I had to consult hubby first, of course. I took picture of the item (from her Flickr) and sent MMS to my hubby. Just then, the item was sold to another Bebot, Caryl. Well, she saved me from giving in to the temptation. :)

:(

:D

another trip?

By now, you have probably read (many times) that we are going away this summer with four couple friends. Obviously I’m so excited about it. And if another trip pushes through, we are going away sometime in October with hubby’s family.

Then just last week, my sister showed me this site of a splendid (I am so tempted to type magnificent) resort. When I first saw it, I just thought that it is an ultimate haven for photographers (amateur and professional alike).

So I started computing for flights and lodging, and of course, I researched for the best months to go there. Another consideration is that my sister will be in Belgium from next month till June. So she’ll be back in the rainy season, not really nice to go swimming. Hmm, it looks like we have to wait till next year for this one.

just for kicks

Late last year, just for kicks, three officemates submitted their profiles (with photos) to the Weather Tropa (in English: group of friends) of the Week portion of Inquirer Libre, a free newspaper distributed in the stations of Light Railway Transits 1 and 2, the Metro Railway Transit, and some select McDonalds branches.

After a week, they received a call for a photo shoot schedule. And today, it came out! Look!

Note: I’ve asked permission from them before posting this. What’s my blog compared to the 110,000 daily readership of Inquirer Libre? Hehe.

saved by conflict

You probably heard about the ZestAir plane crashed in the Caticlan airport. I got the chills when I heard about it because just recently, hubby forwarded an email to me. It is the ZestAir promo to Boracay and the rates are really affordable with a tie-up to a new Triple A resort, the Patio Pacific. Apparently, their team was planning a trip to Boracay and had that pushed through, hubby will of course bring me and Mikee along to that trip.

The only reason that trip didn’t push through was that they were too many that they couldn’t agree on the dates. Whew! Good thing huh?

time to shed some weight

What prompted me to go on a diet was when I can no longer fit into my office slacks. I wore dresses and skirts for the first week of this month after the Christmas binge. They say that a diet is more effective when you do group dieting. So I was encouraged when my twitter friends recommended this no carbo/sugar diet.

I thought it was easy. It’s not. I had headaches. I started checking best weight loss pills instead. Then I thought I could just lessen my carbo and sugar intake. Guess what? I think it’s effective because I no longer have headaches and can now fit into my slacks!

feeling a little low today

I hate being pessimistic but I think I’m coming down with the flu. This is so untimely because we have set a swimming outing with friends this weekend. Mikee is a bit warm too since yesterday.

Since we are on the topic of swimming, today, I tried the two-piece swimwear I had been eyeing for months. I was disappointed that it didn’t look good on me. I was so set on buying that for summer. That was exactly what I want. Bareback tied only with strings and with covered front. Now, I’m back to zero. Or I could opt for a Speedo tankini instead.

matching swimwear

Just this morning, I received an email from hubby. It says FYI. I scrolled down to see another summer getaway promo valid only until the end of February. It would be nice, it’s just that we have booked for another out-of-town trip on the first week of March. I think it would be too much for our budget. I’d like to have fun, of course, without being broke.

Anyway, I plan to check some swimwear this Friday. I’m not sure if I want to buy or not. We will go to Pansol this weekend with friends, and I have nothing to wear. Well, I got one swimsuit but I’d probably swim with a top and shorts. I just thought maybe I can buy the swimwear intended for our summer get-away and wear it too this weekend.

Oh, my plan is to buy something that would coordinate with Mikee’s swimwear (with matching flipflops) I got from Old Navy. Look:

no more migraine please

Last night, I had a bad case of migraine (again). I think I fell asleep at 8:30pm and as early as 4am, my mind is awake. It’s just that I was too lazy to get up, I tried to sleep again. Successful because I didn’t notice hubby left for work.

I have been considering going for acupuncture just to cure my migraine. It’s starting to bother me because it has been frequent lately.

I just hope I won’t have any migraine again later this afternoon. I plan to roam around the malls to look for safety equipment during our break time today. Migraine has always been a show-stopper. So all plans are cancelled when it strikes. Sheeesh!

flannel PJs for me

Hmmm, for one, I’m not into flannel ‘coz I sort of associate it with my old clothes.
Second, I know that I am not a relaxed person. But still, I agree that this implies I go for comfort over fashion. :D

You Are Flannel Pajamas

You seek comfort above everything else. You rather feel good than look good.
You are a very relaxed person, especially when you’re surrounded by your favorite things and people.

You are a homebody. Home is the place where you can truly be yourself.
You are likely to wear pajamas a lot. In fact, you often change into your pj’s the minute you get home!

Mikee’s walk

What was she doing? I am guessing that she was exaggerating her walk and having fun doing it. :D

Anyway, Mikee accidentally bumped her head into my nose last night. I was canvassing for affordable snow chains and she wanted to watch Sesame Street over at YouTube, hence the mini-scuffle. This gave me a bad case of sinusitis, and migraine. No worries, I feel fine when I woke up this morning.

~

Geez, I am so tempted to photo-spam this blog. I still can’t decide where to upload my photos. I uploaded some over at Facebook (and had the same copies at Friendster) but now I’m close to opening another Multiply account. Sheeeesh!
