no more secret shopping on Facebook

My husband loves playing PC Games so I am always on the lookout for sales. Same with kids wear and toys, I subscribe to different shopping sites to make sure I don’t miss an “important” sale.

And today, I received this on my inbox.

I think I’m getting addicted to online shopping.

Speaking of which, Facebook has updated its interface which makes all my inquiries (comments) to online sellers visible to my husband via the new ticker. Argh! Boo FB!

Btw, I promise to blog here if ever I discover how to hide all my activities from my friends’ ticker.

Instagram privacy on Facebook

It used to be that when you share your Instagram photos on Facebook, only the photo can be viewed without the likes and comments of your fellow IGers. But that has changed for quite some time now. So for a time, I’ve stopped sharing most of my IG photos on Facebook. But now, I realized that we can customize who can see our IG posts.

Tried and tested. ;)

So I’m sharing how to set privacy of your Instagram posts on Facebook in case you don’t know yet. :)

Just go to “Account” tab.
On the drop down list, choose “Privacy Settings”.
Scroll down and look for “Apps and Websites”, click “edit settings”.
On the “Apps you use”, click “Edit settings”.
You will then be directed to a page with list of apps you use.
Look for Instagram. Click “Edit”.

You may now edit who can see your IG posts (especially easy if you’re using lists).

Note: this won’t work on your past IG posts. You have to set those manually.

Nothing but HP for Me Revolution contest

I got a nice photo with my daughter from our family outing last weekend. The lighting was good. This is one photo where my pregnancy is obvious but I don’t look too haggard.

I would have used it for my Facebook profile pic but then I suddenly remember that I have joined “Nothing but HP for Me Revolution” contest where one must use the HP Revolution Badge as one’s profile pic. I don’t mind using the badge till March 15th. As long as I have a chance to win HP items at stake. Although I’m not sure if they’re giving away laserjet 3550, I’m hoping to win the grand prize, HP Envy “14 (Beats) laptop.

Schedule is as follows:
• Revolutionary Kick-Off: February 2 to February 13, 2011
• 1stRaffle: February 14 to February 20, 2011
• 2ndRaffle: February 21 to February 27, 2011
• 3rdRaffle: February 28 to March 6, 2011
• 4thRaffle: March 7 to March 13, 2011
• Grand Raffle Draw: March 15, 2011

ETA: I’m adding the mechanics.
1. All participants must be a confirmed fan of the official HP Philippines fan page www.facebook.com/HPphilippines
2. Participants must use the HP Revolution Badge as their current Facebook profile picture upon joining promo until the promo ends on March 15, 2011. Removal of the HP Revolution Badge anytime during the promo period will automatically disqualify the entry. Moderators of the official HP Philippines fan page will conduct profile picture checks at random intervals on all participants’ entries.
3. After clicking “Like” on the Nothing But HP for Me Photo Album and changing your profile picture, participants must then post their Declaration on the HP Revolution Badge photo: “Nothing But HP for _(Your Name)_ “. This single post in the Nothing But HP for Me Revolution photo album will serve as your raffle ticket to the Grand Raffle Draw. It’s that easy!

there’s a new town

Yes, you read that right. Instead of there’s a new “something” in town, there’s a new town… in Facebook!

The husband is hooked to playing the Car Town. Like everyone else that I know who is/was hooked to other FB games such as the Farm Town and other towns there (haha), he has started to “schedule” his FB playtime. He enjoys buying cars, extending his garage, and having an office complete with exit alarm. Why, my account is even used as a dummy account. I don’t mind. I’m not really into games. Even when Atari and Super Mario were all the craze, I was busy playing with something else. Ooops, age shows.

say what?

I know this girl, not really a friend, who is a bit boyish in her ways. She doesn’t wear makeup, looks like she brushes her hair just once a day and will never get caught dead in a skirt. She was an engineering graduate, and I wouldn’t be surprised if any of the steel buildings I see was her design.

Just this afternoon, I saw her Facebook status. It quite intrigued me that I had to view all of her wall. There I saw most of her updates saying things that would make her really feminine. Things like “wow, this heels are killing me…” on her wall. You see, I bumped into this girl just this year, and nothing has changed. Either she had a grand makeover, or she has extended her dream world to cyber space. Tsk tsk.

girly fun

If you have been reading this blog, you’ll notice how I love Coach bags. I guess those are the bags that I can afford (read: on rare splurges) and styles of which fit my lifestyle. I don’t buy bags more expensive than the Coach price range. I tend NOT to use expensive things that I own (given to me as a gift, in short, kuripot ako) worrying I might damage it. So I only buy things that I won’t mind getting damaged provided I’ve used it often enough.

Anyway, earlier today, Peachy sent me a Coach Patchwork bag. No, not the real one. But to my Facebook account. In turn, I sent Coach Hamptons bags to several friends.

Fun!

broadcast them all

Another sweet discovery.

There are several applications at Facebook that allows you to display your blog feeds on your profile. How cool is that? So if you are maintaining more than one blog and would want them all to display on your profile, all you need to do is add this RSS reader App. (Yes, even your blogs from your friendster and multiply.)

More exposure, more traffic. Sweet. ;)

Welcome to my blog!
